Katoukichibee Shouten was established in 1860. They use traditional methods to make junmai sakes and aged them at ice-cold temperature for long period. It is served at Japanese royal family events and has gained an international reputation.
Made 100% from Yamada Nishiki rice the king of sake rice
Aged for one year at below 10C so the yeast in the sake stays in a dormant state. The ageing process allows for a more complex flavour and a smooth, rounded body and gentle aroma
Unfiltered to retain the natural golden colour and rich fruity and mineral flavours
Intense aroma of pear and peach-like fruitiness. Best served lightly chilled in a wine glass to experience the elegant fruitiness

Tasting note:
- Beautiful golden yellow in colour, since it is free of charcoal filtering during brewing. Fruity and full of mineral aroma, which can bring out the umami from the uni.
